6HP19 6HP26 6HP32 6R60 6R75 6R80 | Shift Kit GEN1 | Transgo | 2003 on
This TransGo 6R80 SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit fits 2006-14 Ford vehicles equipped with a GEN1 6R60, 6R75 and 6R80 transmission, as well as 2003-up BMW, Audi, VW, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce Maserati, Hyundai, Kia and Jaguars vehicles equipped with ZF6HP19, ZF6HP26 and ZF6HP32 GEN1 valve body. This kit does not fit ZF6HP21, ZF6HP28 or ZF6HP34 with a GEN2 valve body.
Common concerns with this transmission are TCC shudder, rough coast down shifts, gear ratio error and solenoid performance codes. Firstly, these complaints are the result of the wear in the pressure regulator (PR) valve bore and the pressure regulator valve balance bushing. Secondly, the torque converter clutch regulator valve design and calibration were in dire need of an upgrade to address the TCC shudder complaint.
Features & Benefits:
The kit includes a hardened steel drop-in two-piece pressure regulator and a redesigned TCC regulator valves for a quick no-hassle install. Our drop in valves require no reaming or tooling.
Both the redesigned drop-in steel PR valve and TCC regulator valve, feature longer lands which restores the hydraulic integrity of the circuit by utilizing previously unused and therefore unworn areas of their bore. Furthermore, the longer lands increase bore longevity by redistributing the load over a greater surface area. The kit also includes new rubber dampener inserts that flatten out over time and new wire retainer clips to replace the occasional broken one.
Corrects/Prevents/Reduces:
Gear ratio codes: P0731, P0732, P0733, P0734, P0729
Shift error codes: P0781, P0782, P0783, P0784, P0829

High mileage vehicles? If you have a valve body with a lot of miles on it, you may get a persistent coast-down clunk or slip-sliding shifts when hot. Those valve bodies will need to have the solenoid regulator and lube regulator bores reamed in order to fully restore the hydraulic integrity of the circuits. TransGo offers two kits to do it, one with tools and one without. The kit with tools includes two guides and a reamer that can be used on both bores, if you already have the tools, you can buy just the valves and springs.
